GAT hosts stool making workshops

A recent project undertaken by the Galloway Action Team took place at a local stool renovation workshop.

The busy team were focussed on 'upcycling' old stools which may otherwise have been thrown out into landfill. These old stools certainly still had a lot of life left in them!

Under the watchful eye of experts, our team learned some of the secrets of furniture making and restoration - a skill which many see dying out across the region. By passing on techniques such as these to the next generation, hopefully we'll see more furniture given a new lease of life in the future.
